light of the recent decision of Rolling Stone magazine to place the
photo of one of the suspected Boston bombers on the cover of their most
recent edition, the Heroes Memorial Foundation disagrees strongly with
this action. To immortalize an individual whose heinous and cowardly
act killed and maimed innocent citizens of Boston shocks the
consciousness of all who serve and protect the public.

We feel
that the recent decision of Wenner Media LLC, the parent company of
Rolling Stone magazine disrespects the memory of Officer Sean Collier
and minimizes all the brave men and woman of the Boston Fire, Police and
EMS services.

Heroes Memorial Foundation stands proudly with
our Brothers and Sisters of who bravely protected the citizens of Boston
on that fateful day. We as an organization whose mission it is to honor
those who serve us stand proudly with the Mayor of Boston, the
Honorable Thomas Menino and ask all of our followers to boycott Rolling
Stone magazine and their sponsors. By this action we can ensure our
voices are heard and we will not let our heroes be forgotten.
